Honesty

CHOOSEDAY again, and this week it’s about honesty…

But what is honesty? For me honesty is speaking and acting truthfully. But this goes beyond not lying or deceiving, it’s about showing respect towards others and having integrity as well as self-awareness. When we are honest we are also genuine, transparent and fair and have high expectations of morals and values. Things are just so much simpler when honesty is at play!

However, the tough part of an honest way of life, is that we have to be honest with ourselves first. We have tell ourselves the truth and act on what we tell ourselves. It is only then that we can be honest with others. This does mean that sometimes we might upset the applecart. We also might have to embrace the uncertain and the unknown. If we are not honest with ourselves, then we cannot be honest with others, and we cannot expect to live and simple, truthful life. So is honesty really the best policy? I believe so! 🐉💚
