CHOOSEDAY this week is all about music…

I spent a lot of the weekend listening to music and had forgotten how restorative it can be. The benefits of music are amazing. As well as being extremely relaxing, listening to music can help to lower anxiety and stress, which in turn can reduce blood pressure. It can also increase cognitive function, mental alertness and improve sleep quality. It also reduces cortisol and increases endorphins which help reduce pain and inflammation. But most of all, it improves our mood and makes us happy!!

So next time you have 5 minutes, why not turn on the radio, or whatever streaming service you get your music from, turn up the volume and see how it makes you feel? And if the beat is right, get your groove on to really top up the dopamine levels!!
