Perception of You

I was watching reels on Facebook (as you do) and one popped up. I can’t remember who it was and with all things reel it was gone, never to be found again. But a male a voice said something along the lines of “it is not your responsibility how others see you”. At first I was a bit confused. Surely it is our responsibility how others see us. But as I began to type the next sentence I realised that, actually, it is not our responsibility at all. How other people see us is their perception of what they see. We cannot have any responsibility for that.

What we do have responsibility for however, is how we see ourselves and how we portray ourselves. As long as we are being honest with ourselves. As long as we are living our absolute truth and doing so with humility and integrity, does it even matter how other people see us? The simple answer is no! So believe in yourself. Believe in your perception of yourself, and most importantly, give yourself permission to be seen 🐉💚
