Take the pressure off!

Well, here we are in 2026 already!

January is often a time when we put so much pressure on ourselves by making resolutions, deciding in the heat of the moment what we want for the rest of the year, and making ourselves do things that perhaps our bodies aren’t quite ready for. January is actually a time when we should still be resting. We are deep in the depths of winter and all the sensible creatures are hibernating! So why is it that we humans feel the need to start racing?

Although we have started a New Year numerically, we are still in the energetic year of the Wood snake. And let’s face it, this snake has pushed us to our limits, shedding layers and layers. Being forced to look at truth. Being forced to really look at ourselves. Being forced to look at those around us. Masks have fallen, and will continue to fall. Truth is slithering out from everywhere. It has been a tough year of healing and discovery and the next five or six weeks (until 17th February) are going to be just as tough if we’re not listening. We have a last opportunity to shed those layers of what no longer serves us, before the fire takes over!!

So this week I am choosing to take the pressure off! I’m choosing to not make resolutions for the year ahead. I am choosing to listen to what my body wants. I am choosing to start looking for the seeds rather than trying to plant them too early. I am choosing preparation, so when that fire horse arrives I am ready to saddle up and gallop into 2026! What are you choosing? 🔥🐉💚
