Top 10 tips a stress free Christmas!

This time of year can be mega stressful. Presents to buy and wrap. Food to plan. Visitors to cater for. Parties to go to. Nights out planned. And, just to top it off, if you live in Cumbria, the stress of the motorway closure on the first weekend in January!!

There are many things that we can do to try and ease the stress, but here are my top 10: -

1. Plan ahead as much as possible

2. Maintain a little bit of “normal”

3. Remember that it’s ok to take time out

4. Keep in mind what it is that really matters

5. Try and get out and spend some time in nature

6. Avoid drama!!

7. Keep hydrated… overindulgence is more often than not a given, but hydration will help!

8. Have fun!

9. Know that it’s absolutely within your power to say NO!

10. Most importantly of all, be kind to yourself

It’s ok to be stressed, as a little stress is inevitable really. But try not to let it consume you. If you can get through with a little ease, and even better, some festive joy it will make for a much better start to 2026. And if all else fails, just step outside and breathe!! 🔥🐉💚
