Walking Away

This CHOOSEDAY is about walking away…

This can be one of the hardest things that we do in our lifetime. Walking away can make us feel guilty or worry about the feelings of those we are walking away from. We can spend days, weeks and sometimes even months agonising over our decision. Should we walk away? What will happen if we do? Will we be upsetting people? How will it be without those people? All of these questions can cause us a great deal of unnecessary anxiety and distress, when perhaps the only question we should be asking ourselves is why do we want to walk away? If the situation is causing us pain or hurt, or we feel drained or overwhelmed, then it is in our best interests to walk away. Sometimes we need to look at the bigger picture. We need to take care of ourselves first. We spend so much of our time thinking of others that sometimes we forget to think about our own needs. When we walk away, it can be extremely beneficial in the end. The pain and hurt fade, our energy comes back and we find we can move forward more freely. So what are you waiting for? Don’t let yourself suffer to please others. Take control of your own destiny. Walk away from those who do not champion you, want the very best for you and support you wholeheartedly. Although it will be hard, in the end, if you have walked away for the right reasons, it can only be for your very, very best 🐉💚
